NIA Raids
Recent times have witness frequent raids by the Indian National Investigation Agency, upon various bureaucrats and NGOs in Jammu and Kashmir, and in India.
Many raids have been conducted in the name of anti-corruption in J&K, having unleased a reign of terror, while ignoring the rampant corruption in NDA ruled states like Bihar.
Many NGOs have been raided, based on allegations of funding the seccessionist movement in J&K.
A recent victim of the raids was Zafarul Islam Khan, former chief of the Delhi Minorities Panel.
Khan claims that he was not interrogated, and the aganecy raid resulted in the arbitrary seizure of his laptops, document and similar items. He also said that Republic TV media was allowed to approach the site whereas other journalists were stopped.
He claims that the raids are being conducted for propaganda purposes, to set a strong agenda for the BJP in the Bihar Elections. Khan believes, that otherwise, the BJP will lose the Bihar elections.
