The Removal of the Article

 BJP's Claims

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is the ruling party of India, has always opposed the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir. They think of the autonomous province as a "nation within a nation". And for the "unity" of India, they claimed, the abrogation was necessary.

Why have such a hard-liner approach towards J&K but not the Northeast? The Northeastern provinces of India are autonomous, though not as much as the former J&K, and have also witnessed a bloody insurgency. But abrogating their status does not seem necessary, somehow. Moreover, the Northeast is of a disputed status, too. Arunachal Pradesh is a dispute between India and China.

The BJP also claimed that Ambedkar wanted the abrogation of Article-370 and 35A. The BJP and its private media goons said that the move "liberated" Jammu and Kashmir and brought equality in India.

"Give the Hindu and Buddhist part to India and the Muslim part to Pakistan, as we did in the case of India. We are really not concerned with the Muslim part of Kashmir. It is a matter between the Muslims of Kashmir and Pakistan. They may decide the issue as they like.” - Ambedkar

It is clear from this official statement by B.R. Ambedkar, that he in no way, at least not officially, supported the abrogation of Article-370.

Real Intentions Behind the Abrogation

Militant Eradication

The first goal of the removal, is to allow Indians to buy land in the disputed region. This, would successfully trigger a demographic change, which will obliterate both Kashmiri Nationalism and Islamism in the valley. Kashmiri Muslims prefer supporting Kashmiri, and Muslim groups. By destroying the ethnolinguistic and religious composition, India will bring the seccessionist movement to a halt.

Capitalist Intentions

Since previously, no permanent non-Kashmiri businesses were opened in J&K, especially not in the Kashmir region, competition was nil, and the fruits of the soil of Kashmir were awarded to her sons and daughters, only. This meant, that the beauty, mineral resources, water etc of Kashmir benefited the Kashmiri populace only, and ensured greater "local" development.

With the arrival of alien businesses in Kashmir, competition would rise dramatically, meaning much lower profits for locals — if any profits at all. These businesses will cause an outflow of money from Kashmir, into India, and would just contribute to local poverty.

Communal Objectives

By re-settling Pandits alone, Indian objectives to Hindu-fy Kashmir won't succeed. The Pandits were a minority group already. Hence, India has opened way for Indians to settle, as declared by BJP Leader, Yogi Adityanath, in a rally for the Bihar elections. "No Article means license to buy property in Kashmir.
