Shopian Encounter and Ganderbal incident

An encounter between militants and Indian Security Forces raged since yesterday in Sugan, Shopian. After a long siege, two militants have been killed. A fresh round of firing started. Further details awaited.
A militant and a constable have died after the Ganderbal incident, where militants stormed the residence of  a local BJP leader. 

Shabir Ahmad, assossiate of Riyaz Naikoo, has been killed in the Ganderbal incident.

Dr. Saifullah Slain

In a tragic event for the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Indian Forces have killed Dr. Saifullah Mir urf Ghazi Haider, at the Rangreth area of Srinagar. Dr. Saifullah had taken over as Chief Commander after the killing of Riyaz Naikoo. With Dr. Saifullah no more, the HM has again been left leaderless.  Indian forces termed it as a great success.
